J.M.J. The person of Saint John the Baptist comes into view today on this Second Sunday of Advent during the Holy Gospel proclaimed in both the Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms of the Mass.
The word "identity" is related to the Precursor of Our Lord for the Baptist knew well who he was before God and what his mission was from Him.
May Our Lady help us to grasp and to embrace our identity before Her Divine Son as well as our God-given mission.
