J.M.J.
Dear Friends in Christ,
“For where two or three are gathered together in
My Name, there am I in the midst of them.” One of our foundational
beliefs is that Our Lord Jesus Christ is with us when we assemble in His Name.
This truth consoles us. It also challenges us to remember always that He is not
far removed from us when we, as brothers and sisters, seek His Holy Face and
His Holy Will.
+Let us pray for the
ill, especially Michael Grove, Father Jonathan Venner, Elizabeth Bullard, Monsignor
Stephen Barnett, Diane Moen, Father Dana Christensen, Father Ken Lulf
(surgery), Kathy Engerbrecht and Father Timothy Cone.
+As we commemorate Labor
Day, we pray for all who work, particularly for those who are in harm’s way
during the pandemic known as COVID-19.
+Our C.R.E. program in
our Parishes begins very soon. If your children are not enrolled, then please
contact the Office of our Parishes.
"What is Your Question?"
By Father Ben Miriam
Q. Will we have our pets
in Heaven?
A. Our pets, because
they are animals, have souls, but not rational
souls as we have. Therefore, they do not have the capacity to enjoy Everlasting
Life as you and I have. Yet, it is possible, as the Servant of God Father John
Anthony Hardon (+2000) once said, that there will be animals in Paradise as a
kind of “secondary joy.” God will surprise us in many respects in Heaven. We
have much to anticipate. Come, Lord Jesus.
