O Mary, May We Love the the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as You Do!: Most Holy Trinity, Sunday, June 8, 2020

J.M.J.

Dear Friends in Christ,

Today is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. The third verse of "Holy God, We Praise Thy Name" offers to us a succinct glimpse at this truth: "Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, Three we name Thee; While in essence only one, Undivided God we claim Thee, And adoring bend the knee, while we own this mystery."

A blessed Feast of the Most Blessed Trinity to all.

*Please join us for the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary this Wednesday, June 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Fatima Family Shrine in Alexandria. (In case of inclement weather, we will pray in Saint Mary of Mercy Church.) We will practice social distancing. Confessions will follow at 7:00 p.m. in Saint Mary of Mercy Church.

*The respect life crosses near the Saint Stephen Rectory in Bridgewater are an excellent reminder of our national tragedy. Let us pray.

*In his recent parish bulletin, Father Richard L. Baumberger informs us that "corona," as in "coronavirus," is the name of a Saint (Saint Corona, Martyr, circa 170) and of a City in South Dakota (14 miles from Milbank).

*Next weekend, we commemorate the Most Blessed Sacrament on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. Such an important day, such an important dogma of our Faith.

+This Tuesday, June 9th at 7:00 p.m., the First Communicants of Saint Mary of Mercy Church, wth their Parents, will meet in the Parish Hall in preparation for their First Holy Communion.
