J.M.J. Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort (1673-1716), in his Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin (#108), wrote that Our Lady's
ten principal virtues are:
deep
humility, lively faith,
blind obedience, unceasing prayer,
constant self-denial, surpassing purity,
ardent love, heroic patience,
angelic kindness, and heavenly wisdom.
This list makes for a suitable Lenten reflection or, for that matter, for any liturgical season.
