J.M.J.
Dear Friends in Jesus, Mary and Joseph, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus Who has been taken up from you into Heaven will return in the same way as you have seen Him going into Heaven.” (Acts of the Apostles 1:11) On this the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord, may our hearts rise to Jesus Christ Who is seated at the right hand of His Father. Mary, Mother of the Ascended Lord, pray for us to the Holy Spirit.
*Many thanks to those who prepared for our Masses last weekend. 25-35 persons attended Mass in Saint Martin Church; 60-70 persons attended Mass in Saint Mary of Mercy Church.
*Please pray for our candidates for Ordination this week: Priesthood--Deacon Michael Kapperman and Deacon Anthony Klein; Diaconate--Jacob Doty, Scott Miller and Jeff Schulte.
*Before last Sunday, the last Mass celebrated in Saint Mary of Mercy Church was All Saints Day--November 1, 2019. Thank You, Lord, for opening the doors again!
*I would be pleased to bless homes, fields, animals, etc., while practicing social distancing. Please let me know (605 521-0175).
*Our Churches remain open for private prayer. Our Lord Jesus Christ, as Saint John Paul II once said, awaits us in the Tabernacle where the Sacrament of Love resides.
*Next Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. If you can, then please wear something red to call to mind the Holy Spirit.
