J.M.J. Our Blessed Mother is the model of perseverance, which "in a broad sense, is the pursuit of an undertaking or endeavor until its completion. In a strict sense, it is the pursuit of a good despite annoyances which originate in some factors usually extraneous to the endeavor." (Dom Gregory Manise, O.S.B., in Dictionary of Moral Theology, compiled by Francesco Cardinal Roberti).
No matter what God asked Mary to do, she "saw it through" until the end. Neither her fidelity nor her joy could be stifled.
O Mary, help us to imitate you in your perseverance!
